Notes
1.  While motorcycles were issued with a bridge classification "1", they never displayed it.  Perhaps because it really did not represent the actual weight of the vehicle and driver (much less than one ton) it was felt unneccesary?
2.  While most light vehicles in Canadian Army service (cars, carriers, trucks) fell into various bridge classes, photographic evidence would seem to indicate most carried a bridge class of "5".  It could be because there were no bridges classed less than '5' anyway.
3.  While most photos of softskin and light armoured vehicles show the bridging marking, it is less often seen on AFV's.  In many cases, the marking may be there but covered by mud or dirt.
4.  All the trailers listed have a second notation about bridge classifications;  "For Bridge Classification while towed, see current instructions".  This no doubt refers to the dual classification as mentioned in Part 3.
